DETAILS IN THE DEVELOPMENTAL SPACE

Children's imagination is fundamentally different from ours as adults. A child lives in a magical world where reality easily coexists with a fairy tale. These are not just paper butterflies swaying in the wind. These are flocks of real tropical butterflies that have flown in from distant lands to send greetings. The more space there is for fairy tales and children's imagination, the more resourceful and fulfilling this space is for the child. That is why so much effort and love is put into decorating every corner of the Waldorf space. Every season, the interior is necessarily changed and seasonal details are added.

1. CONSISTENCY WITH SEASONAL RHYTHMS

A child perceives everything with his senses, and long conversations do not work for him. When everything is in bloom outside, and there are lots of flowers in the favorite kindergarten, with flower fairies hiding in them, woolly bees carrying nectar and paper butterflies fluttering on the window, this is more eloquent for a child than any story about the beauty and riot of nature. This is how a child develops a sense of harmony and consonance with nature.

2. FEELING THAT YOU ARE IMPORTANT

When children's fantasies and belief in fairy tales are not ridiculed, but rather supported. When a child is really surrounded by the fairy-tale space in which he or she believes so much. They feel that they are important with all their fantasies, inventions and little fairies.

3. METAPHORICITY

The created fairy-tale world can become a real teaching tool, telling so much about this world without a single word. At Easter, a sprout sprouts, in June it turns green in all its glory, in August it spills a seed, and in October it dries and crumbles. This is a visual story about the course of life. And it is a metaphorical story of details about birth, life and death.

4. ATTENTION TO DETAIL

A "living" space with attention to detail teaches a child to be attentive, to notice changes, to observe. In the winter, it was like this in the kindergarten, the snow melted and the birds started singing - what will change in the kindergarten?

5. DEVELOPING THE IMAGINATION

The fairy-tale space around seems to invite children's fantasies. How did this butterfly get here? Where did it come from? Where is it going? What did it bring? This is how the most original children's ideas are born, how the creative impulse is revealed and, as a rule, encourages further research and development.
In the photos, our mother, Oksana Yurakh, captured the whole day in the kindergarten in anticipation of Easter and caught so many fabulous details and more. Thank you for the wonderful photos!
Let each space have many details that will create a sense of joy and celebration for the child.
